  1. Gary and I toured with Afoot in France in June 2012. We are adventurous travelers, used to planning our own vacations, but we didn't know much about Brittany, so we decided to try a private tour. It was the BEST vacation decision we've ever made! Mark took us to places we'd never even heard of: we saw the amazing megaliths at St Just and roamed the market in Rennes. We stayed in a delightful manoir in Malestroit. We visited the charming towns of Vannes, Josselin and Rochefort-en-Terre. We were awed by the megaliths in Locmariaquer and Carnac...and the fresh oysters in Belon! We hiked up to Chapel St Michel and stayed in the charming seaside town of Roscoff where we were wowed by the dramatic change from high to low tide. Hiking along the pink granite coast was another highlight...and we were the only people there on a gorgeous sunny day! Dinan was our favorite city--so much history and wonderful food. Mark gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Best of all, he timed our visit to Le Mont Saint-Michel so we could witness the high tide come racing in. On our final day, we journeyed to Fort La Latte and hiked to Cap Frehal. It was truly a perfect vacation. Mark planned everything...all we had to do was enjoy! We highly recommend Afoot in France!

  2. Lovely photos of Brittany. As with many other European destinations, I would love to put this on my bucket list.
